My Approach to Coding
As a beginner in web design, I'm using my portfolio as a testing ground for the skills I learn in class every week.
With this hands-on approach, I am watching my code turn from basic pages to more ambitious builds. As my knowledge of coding grows throughout this semester,
the boundaries of my portfolio's potential will expand with it. I want my project to serve as an inspiration to fellow aspiring coders.
Even though pages seem complex from the outside looking in, it isn't impossible to learn if the time is taken.
Outside of Class
I was raised here in Savannah, GA. I was born in Okinawa, Japan. My mother is half Okinawan, which may come as a surprise
with me having red curly hair. Outside of design, I enjoy taking care of my body through lifting weights and running. I find that this
discipline helps me push through long coding sessions and break down complex tasks into repeatable steps. To fuel my active lifestyle,
I am a foodie. I enjoy cooking Okinawan food with my mom and I enjoy using my pellet grill and Blackstone.
